Overview
This design is a double-push mechanism. This could be used in a wide variety of applications from cabinets, hanging/hoist applications, caps, etc.
STL Files are available for download for free. Results may vary depending on your printer settings and accuracy. For reference, this was printed using a Bambu A1 Mini Printer using PLA Filament and a 0.4 mm Nozzle. If fitment is a problem, please adjust printer settings or part scale until you find your desired tolerances.
Build List:
From Printer:
1 - Double Push Mechanism Base
1 - Double Push Mechanism Front
1 - Double Push Mechanism Lock Insert
2 - Double Push Mechanism Side Latch
Hardware or Non-Printed Parts:
2 - M4*20mm Screws
2 - M4*8mm Threaded Inserts
6 - (If applicable) M3*12mm Screw and M3*6mm Inserts
2 - Compression Springs (To improve reliability, an additional spring could be added to the lock insert.)
Some Assembly Required
***Note this design only works when the assembly is vertical since the lock insert uses gravity to function. If you would like to use this mechanism horizontally, it is recommended to install a spring between the lock insert sliding stop (blue part in the diagram) and the outer housing (the black part in the diagram)
